Senior Project Performance and Control Specialist

Job Description

• Participate in developing and implementing the project compliance and risk management strategy.
• Ensure the establishment of standardized risk and compliance processes across projects.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management.
• Ensure projects are carried out in accordance with internal procedures, contractual obligations, technical standards, and legal requirements.
• Investigate compliance violations and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes and monitor the implementation of audit findings.
• Review project documentation from a compliance perspective.
• Participate in identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing project risks.
• Ensure the development and implementation of risk mitigation action plans.
• Organize and facilitate risk workshops.
• Ensure an escalation mechanism is in place for critical risks.
• Monitor and maintain the accuracy and currency of the risk register.
• Coordinate risk and compliance strategies together with project managers.
• Deliver compliance and risk management training to project teams.
• Manage the compliance register, risk register, and audit tracking logs.
• Lead the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and project KPIs.
• Document investigation findings related to non-compliance and submit them to the department manager.
• Develop and update internal compliance and risk management policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; professional certifications in compliance and risk management are considered an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance and risk management; experience in a project-based environment is preferred.
• Languages: Fluent Azerbaijani; good command of English.
• Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience working with risk and compliance management platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
