PMD Projects participates in Urban Expo within WUF13

PMD Projects participated in the Urban Expo held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), organized by UN-Habitat and known as one of the world’s leading international platforms in the field of sustainable urban development.

Throughout the event, the PMD Group stand, represented by its subsidiaries PMD Projects, Design Bureau and Facility Management Group (FMG), welcomed visitors from different countries, including representatives of international organizations, urban development professionals, architects, investors and other industry stakeholders.

As part of the participation, PMD Projects’ sustainable urban development approach was presented, alongside projects contributing to the transformation of cities in Azerbaijan. Throughout the exhibition, visitors were introduced to the company’s experience in construction and project management across reconstruction, restoration, people-centered and sustainable projects.

As part of the week-long program, PMD Projects also conducted two dedicated sessions at the stand. Head of QHSE Department Elgun Safiyarov delivered a presentation titled “The Role of QHSE Excellence in Shaping Urbanization in Azerbaijan,” highlighting the importance of quality, health, safety and environmental standards in modern urban development. Another session, “Smart Cities Need Smart Project Management,” was presented by Head of Planning and Monitoring Elkhan Hasanov and Project Management and Monitoring Specialist Ariza Mammadova, focusing on the role of effective project management in the development of future-ready cities. Both sessions were met with strong interest from foreign guests and international participants visiting the stand.

Urban Expo also served as a valuable platform for networking, exchanging ideas and establishing new professional connections with participants from around the world.
