Senior Surveying Engineer

Job description 

• Conduct detailed surveys, investigations, and site analyses during the initial stages of projects;
• Provide technical and methodological leadership for the geodetic support of construction by applying efficient surveying and control methods; plan field and office surveying activities; apply relevant regulatory documents and ensure compliance with their requirements;
• Supervise the execution of surveying works, including maintaining fieldwork logs, conducting timely and accurate as-built surveys, carrying out as-built surveys of underground utilities in open trenches, preparing and archiving geodetic as-built documentation, and ensuring that all information exchange is carried out in accordance with established documented information control procedures;
• Participate in the execution of complex surveying works;
• Maintain records of surveying and control equipment and ensure their periodic inspection and maintenance;
• Selectively supervise the work of assigned personnel during construction and installation works, report identified deficiencies to the designer, management, and other technical personnel, and ensure that such deficiencies are recorded in the construction log;
• Oversee the receipt of drawings and technical documentation from the designer or design team, verify potential errors in geometric dimensions, and supervise the preparation of setting-out plans and drawings;
• Participate in the handover of completed construction projects;
• Introduce new surveying methods and technologies into the construction process;
• Organize and coordinate the surveying services provided by contractors and subcontractors;
• Ensure the preparation of required reports;
• Work as part of a team and maintain close cooperation with all parties involved in the design and project implementation processes;
• Provide technical support during the project tender process in matters related to surveying, review specifications and work quantities, and provide relevant technical assessments.
