Job desсription
  • Organizing site/area visits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Participating in Toolbox Talks (TBTs), and organizing and facilitating them when required;
  • Monitoring contractors’ activities to ensure compliance with approved HSE, Emergency Response Plans, and Risk Assessment Registers;
  • Investigating HSE incidents or supporting HSE Management in incident investigations;
  • Ensuring that corrective actions identified in HSE incident investigation reports are assigned to relevant responsible persons or departments;
  • Monitoring the timely closure and elimination of identified non-conformities;
  • Providing HSE-related advice to the project team when necessary;
  • Inspecting equipment and tools in use to verify their suitability and safety;
  • Ensuring that employees are assigned to tasks appropriate to their qualifications and experience;
  • Promoting occupational and technical safety practices at workplaces;
  • Monitoring compliance with technical safety rules and regulations;
  • Organizing emergency response drills and training sessions;
  • Monitoring compliance with state regulatory requirements from an HSE perspective;
  • Organizing and ensuring the implementation of risk assessments;
  • Defining technical safety standards and policies when required;
  • Ensuring the elimination of hazardous conditions that pose risks to all employees;
  • Responding to employees’ technical safety concerns and issues;
  • Stopping work when potential hazards arise that could threaten human life, the environment, or company property;
  • Ensuring full compliance with applicable local and international standards within the company;
  • Ensuring efficient use of company-owned or directly controlled energy resources and reporting situations that may lead to unnecessary energy losses;
  • Performing other similar duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE or a related field;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field;
  • Language skills: Azerbaijani – fluent, English – good;
  • Computer skills: MS Office; experience working with databases is an advantage;
  • Responsible and disciplined.
