Job description
- Organizing site/area visits and inspections to ensure a safe environment;
- Participating in Daily Toolbox Talks (TBT), organizing and providing them when necessary;
- Supervising the execution of tasks by contractors in accordance with the approved HSE, Emergency Plans, and Risk Assessment Schedule;
- Investigating HSE incidents and assisting HSE Management in incident investigations;
- Ensuring that corrective actions for identified non-conformities in incident investigation reports are assigned to the responsible persons or departments;
- Monitoring the closure of identified non-conformities and ensuring their resolution within the designated time;
- Providing HSE-related advice to the project team when necessary;
- Checking the usability and safety of the equipment and tools used on-site;
- Supervising employees to ensure they are performing the correct tasks according to their qualifications and experience;
- Promoting technical safety practices at work sites;
- Monitoring compliance with technical safety regulations;
- Organizing emergency drills and training sessions;
- Ensuring compliance with national regulatory requirements from an HSE perspective;
- Organizing and ensuring risk assessments;
- Defining technical safety standards and policies when necessary;
- Ensuring the elimination of hazards for all employees;
- Addressing employees’ technical safety-related issues;
- Stopping work if potential hazards that could harm human life, the environment, or company property arise;
- Ensuring full compliance with local and international standards within the company;
- Ensuring the efficient use of company or directly company-owned energy sources and reporting any potential situations that could lead to additional energy loss;
- Performing other similar tasks assigned by management.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) or a related field;
- At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field;
- Language skills: Fluent in Azerbaijani, good command of English;
- Computer skills: MS Office, experience working with databases is preferred.
