Job desсription
- Review BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimate documents submitted for projects from both technical and commercial perspectives;
- Analyze the accuracy of work quantities based on project drawings and technical specifications;
- Monitor market prices and assess whether applied rates are aligned with current market conditions;
- Conduct comparative analysis of quotations received from contractors and suppliers;
- Review preliminary and detailed cost estimates and identify discrepancies;
- Analyze variances between actual costs and approved budget figures;
- Verify and oversee the documentation of additional work quantities and costs submitted under Variation Orders (VO);
- Calculate and update monthly the project’s Budget at Completion (BAC), Estimate at Completion (EAC), and projected profit;
- Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with the approved budget;
- Investigate commercial claims submitted by contractors, as well as the causes of Variation Orders (VO) and project changes;
- Verify quantities related to changes against drawings, analyze unit rates, and review supporting documentation;
- Ensure that all claims and changes comply with contractual requirements and are properly documented;
- Analyze tender BOQs and verify quantities to prevent cost escalations, scope changes, and budget overruns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry;
- Language Skills: Fluent in Azerbaijani; good command of English;
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD;
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
