Job description
- Assign tasks related to mechanical and electrical systems within the team and set deadlines for execution.
- Receive, analyze, and report project design data, providing recommendations to management regarding the compliance of mechanical and electrical systems with project needs and objectives.
- Organize and conduct weekly meetings with management to review, analyze, and summarize all technical documents related to the project.
- Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines within the team to ensure compatibility of mechanical and electrical systems with other project components.
- Ensure that mechanical and electrical system designs comply with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, urban planning and construction regulations, and predefined international standards.
- Conduct official meetings with organizations such as “Azersu,” “Azerigas,” “Azerishig,” and “Azerenergy” to obtain technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the following stakeholders involved in the design process:
- Internal department teams and project-assigned teams;
- Relevant stakeholders;
- Design teams from engineering organizations;
- Consultants and other specialists contributing to the design process.
- Provide relevant recommendations on mechanical and electrical design timelines and verify the compliance of project schedules with the design workload at all stages.
- Participate in determining the procurement strategy for mechanical and electrical systems and provide professional opinions, including technical support during the tender process.
- Ensure that the final project documents for mechanical and electrical systems receive full approval from government authorities.
- Prepare reports for obtaining necessary permits (technical specifications, etc.) for mechanical and electrical systems.
- If required, provide expert reviews, conduct analyses, and propose cost and budget optimization measures at all project stages.
- Ensure the preparation, distribution, storage, approval, archiving, and documentation of mechanical and electrical project documents in accordance with the established Document Control Procedure.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Qualifications
- Higher education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience (in both construction and office environments), including at least 4 years as a client representative in the relevant field;
- Knowledge of construction regulatory documents: AzDTN, EN, SNIP, PUE, BS, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA;
- Language skills: Fluent in Azerbaijani, good command of English;
- Computer skills: MS Office, AutoCAD.
