Job description
Essential duties & responsibilities
- Delegating tasks related to mechanical and electrical systems within the team and setting deadlines for task completion;
- Receiving and analyzing design data, and submitting a report to management with recommendations on the compliance of mechanical and electrical systems with the needs and objectives;
- Organizing weekly meetings with the management to review, analyze, and summarize the project and all related technical documents;
- Ensuring coordination with other discipline engineers within the team to maintain compatibility of mechanical and electrical systems with other disciplines in the project;
- Ensuring that the design data for mechanical and electrical systems are prepared in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, urban planning and construction regulatory documents, as well as predefined international standards;
- Conducting official meetings with state bodies such as “Azersu”, “Azerigaz”, “Azerishiq”, and “Azerenergy” as part of the project, and ensuring the acquisition of technical specifications;
- Collaborating closely with the following parties involved in the design process:
- The internal department and the project team;
- Stakeholders;
- Design teams from design organizations;
- Consultants and all specialists contributing to the design process;
- Providing relevant advice on the scheduling of the mechanical and electrical portions of the design, and verifying at all stages that the project timeline aligns with the design workload;
- Participating in the process of determining the procurement strategy for mechanical and electrical systems and providing professional opinions, as well as technical support during the tender process;
- Ensuring full approval of the completed mechanical and electrical project documents by the relevant state authorities;
- Preparing reports to obtain the necessary permits (technical specifications, etc.) for mechanical and electrical systems;
- When required, providing expert opinions on documents related to mechanical and electrical systems at all stages of the project, conducting analyses, and proposing recommendations to optimize budget and expenses;
- Ensuring the preparation, distribution, storage, approval, archiving, and exchange of information related to mechanical and electrical system project documents is carried out in accordance with the documented Information Control Procedure.
Qualifications
Work environment
- Higher education in the field of Mechanics or Electricity;
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience (including construction and office), with at least 4 years as a client representative in the relevant field;
- Knowledge of construction regulatory documents: AzDTN, EN, SNIP, PUE, BS, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA;
- Language skills: Fluent in Azerbaijani and English;
- Computer skills: MS Office, AutoCAD.
