Job description
- Management of construction projects from concept to completion,
- Ensuring that all quantitative and qualitative indicators of preparation, construction-installation, restoration, repair, commissioning, and handover works in the assigned projects are carried out in accordance with the project, and in compliance with the requirements of urban planning and construction normative documents,
- Participating in the examination, engineering-survey, and planning works related to the preparation phase of projects to be implemented, as well as in the development of methodologies and execution methods, preparing required documents, and providing necessary data for the preparation of relevant reports,
- Working both in the office and on construction-production sites,
- Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks,
- Handling contracts and minimizing the impact of any issues,
- Checking the completeness and accuracy of the documents required for the start of construction, applying necessary corrective measures when needed, and keeping them under control,
- Organizing preparation for the works to be carried out on construction sites, ensuring the execution of preparatory tasks, and controlling the project timeline,
- Conducting site visits to inspect the execution of works, check construction materials, and ensure compliance of workers with health and safety regulations,
- Supervising site engineers and specialists in relevant disciplines, assigning tasks for execution, coordinating and monitoring their activities,
- Coordinating the activities of subcontracting organizations working on the project under contract, and accepting the work performed by them,
- Monitoring compliance with project schedules, ensuring that construction-installation, repair, restoration, and reconstruction works meet volume, duration, and quality requirements,
- Ensuring the technological sequence of performed works, execution methods, and compliance with project and regulatory documentation,
- Ensuring the preparation of required documentation by third parties for supervised construction sites,
- Ensuring the elimination of identified defects and implementation of appropriate corrective measures,
- Investigating the causes of delays and deterioration in quality in performed works and taking preventive actions,
- Fulfilling duties accurately and on time, being proactive, and continuously improving professional qualifications,
- Strictly complying with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other normative-legal acts,
- Carrying out other similar tasks assigned by the management.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Qualifications
- Higher education (bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field),
- At least 7 years of work experience in a similar position,
- Knowledge of construction regulations and project management,
- Language skills: Azerbaijani – fluent, English – fluent, Russian – desirable,
- Computer skills: MS Office, AutoCAD,
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
